Kia Motors Corporation also known as KMC is South Korea's oldest manufacturer of automobiles. Nowadays this corporation is a division of the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group. This corporation produces over 2 million vehicles a year, which are manufacturing and assembly in thirteen operations in eight countries. These vehicles are serviced and sold in 170 countries through a network of dealers and distributors. This company has an approximate of 40,000 employees around the world. The company slogan is "The Power to Surprise".
Kia Motors America known as KMA is the American distribution, marketing and sales arm of the headquarters located in South Korea. They offer their customers a complete list of vehicles that are found in all the dealers of the company around the United States. This company was announced as the 8th best selling automobile company in the U.S. The name of the first automobile plant in this country is called Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia West Point, which was established in November of 2009.
Kia Defense is specialized in the production of army vehicles with various variants and other equipment of transportation. They supply military vehicles designated by the government of South Korea since the year 1976. This company is currently of the process of designating a vehicle for the South Korean Army called KM450, which is a Jeep M715. Some of vehicles produce by the Defense arm are the following: 1- KM-100 Tactical truck, 2- K53 Amphibious tracked vehicle, 3- KM-25 ton cargo truck, etc.
Kia Motors Europe known as KME is the European marketing and sales division. They had produced several versions of left and right hand drive of the model Sportage Suv from 1995 to 1999. The company began to imported to Europe the car model called Pride Mini Car. On the year 2000 they had started selling the model called Rio. Some of the famous car models that were import to Europe several years back were: Credos, Mentor, Shuma, Cerato, Sedona, Picanto, etc. In 2009 this automobile company was established as one of the popular brands of vehicles in Europe.
