Kia Motors company maintains several design facilities worldwide. Most facilities are found in its home country called South Korea. There is also a facility in Europe and the United States. A design facility is a center or building where the employees are in charge of the design and development of the company product.
Kia automobile company has three Kia designer facilities around the world which are the following: 1- Kia Design Center America, 2- Kia Design Center Europe and 3- Namyang Design Center. This prestigious automobile company has in their facilities a variety of car models.
The Namyang Design Center is known as the company's primary design facility. This facility is located in Hwaseong, South Korea. The facility has over three million of square meters of land, which serves as the central facility for the engineering work of the entire designing process. Nowadays the facility is shared with their parent company called Hyundai. All worldwide employees of the company receive their training at this facility.
Kia Design Center America is located in the city of Irvine, California, United States. This facility was design by the American architectural firm called Skidmore, Owens & Merril. This facility was completed in the year 2008, based of nine offices and forty five work stations. The design facility has a studio that can model nine vehicles at once, which includes a computerized milling machine that creates full size car models in a fast way. The Kia Design Center Europe is located in Frankfurt, Germany. The facility was established in 2007. This facility is close to the main showground where the Biennial Auto Show takes place.
